We never used to buy ghee when we were in Sarang, Attappady. We had plenty of milk, butter and ghee. But after shifting to the plains ghee become a rarity. Still we manage to make little butter and ghee with the milk we buy. And we should say, we get good, thick cow milk here! Last week Harish and Vishnu were the cooking team. They made ghee and were showing around everybody! (And we finished it within two days! 😉 ) It was perfectly ghee! It needs expertise to get the correct aroma, colour and taste. We are proud of our children, for they are learning these traditions very fast. Yes, let them learn everything that is necessary for life with this enthusiasm!
